For the company this period of the year is one of the most exciting, and the most awaited. In normal times, in April we would all be involved in the Salone del Mobile and Design Week in Milan.
Taking part in the Design Week means shaping the products that will be exhibited, that are the result of a long design and prototyping process. Participating in the fair means designing and building exhibition spaces, expanding the communication network, setting in motion an enormous chain of contacts.
Since this year we are missing all of this, along with the faces of people that we usually meet, we want to dedicate this week's article to this event and remembering the editions that have been most important to us.
Warli was born in 1998 at the 0 edition of the “Salone Satellite”, when the partnership with Moroso was also presented. After this event, we went back to Salone del Mobile in 2010. One of our favourite editions was, for sure, the one that took place in 2012. Despite it being just the third expo, we were in the main design pavilion, surrounded by the biggest italian and international design brand. This has been a staple in the way of approaching our product design.
Plein Sud, our outdoor collection, was presented for the first time on that occasion. It was a turning point for Warli and for the outdoor furniture market. Warli was among the first to offer outdoor rugs with sophisticated design and with the same quality of production of indoor rugs. Today this collection has become the company’s strength.
From year to year, what was presented at the exhibition, well represents the process of the brand expansion. We started as a manufacturer of indoor design rugs, up to the production of the Equipment line for residential and public contracts. The catalogue has expanded further with the production of accessories such as the soft seats from the Site collection for indoor and outdoor, presented for the first time in 2013, or Twilight the outdoor lantern designed by Paolo Zani in 2018 and La Lune Sous Le Chapeau by Man Ray in 2021, a table lamp.
The Salone del mobile is just one of the many fairs that have been put on stand-by because of the Covid pandemic. We at Warli, are looking forward to meeting you at the September edition of the fair.
